GELLANGUM

Plant Gel is the brand name for the Gellan Gum of Marine Hydrocolloids. Plant gel is a High Molecular weight Polysaccharide gum produced by fermentation of a carbohydrate by pseudomonas Elodea, purified, dried and powdered.

CHITIN & CHITOSAN

Chitin is the second most abundant natural biopolymer in the world, behind only cellulose. It is also the most abundant naturally occurring polysaccharide that contains amino sugars. This abundance, combined with the specific chemistry of chitin and its derivative chitosan, make for the array of potential applications. Chitosan is a fine off white, odorless Powder extracted from Crab and Shrimp Shells and its derivatives offer uses in three areas of cosmetics: hair care, skin care and oral care. Products have already reached the market in all three areas. We supply Chitosan at varied deacetylation values

CARRAGEENAN

Carrageenan is made up of sodium, potassium, magnesium and calcium sulphate esters of galactose and 3, 6-anhydrogalactose units. It is a wholly natural ingredient obtained from certain species of red edible seaweed called the Class Rhodophyceae. The popular sources for Carrageenan are the ChondrusCripus, EucheumaCottonii and EucheumaSpinosum species. The Chondruscrispus species grows mainly in cold water territories such as the northern coasts of the Atlantic while the Eucheuma species are abundantly found in tropical climates like the Philippines. The Philippines has successfully launched and maintained numerous EucheumaCottonii and EucheumaSpinosum seaweed farms providing ample supply and good quality to meet the growing demand. There are three Carrageenan types which are of commercial interest because of the various applications of hydrocolloids in food and other industrial uses. They are called the Iota, Kappa and Lambda Carrageenan. Marine Hydrocolloids Carrageenan uses the EucheumaCottonii for the production of Kappa Carrageenan and the EucheumaSpinosum for Iota Carrageenan. ChondrusCrispus species is used for production of Lambda Carrageenan.

Agar Agar Pharma Grade

Agar Agar is useful as a laxative. When hydrated, it provides a smooth, non-irritant bulk in the digestive tract. It is also used in preparation of emulsions, suspensions, capsules and suppositories in surgical lubricants and as a suspending agent for Barium sulphate Radiology.

WONDERGEL has excellent synergy with sugar and other hydrocolloids and its low gelling point and easy and rapid dissolution at 70-80oC allows convenient management on industrial production lines. Wonder Gel is a replacement for LMPectin and Iota Carrageenan also.
